There are many hybrid cars on the market, including the insight hybrid by Honda or the cayenne hybrid by Porsche, the The Ford Escape hybrid is one of the best on the market. It had many models but in 2009 the 2.3 liter engine was replaced with a new and improved 2.5 liter engine. Along with this it also increased the horse power from a fairly good 155 horsepower to an inspired 177 horsepower. According to the stats from Ford, its Escape hybrid is able to get to 60 mph from zero with the same speed of acceleration as that of a V6 with 240 horsepower. The upcoming 2010 model Escape hybrid will have a smooth ride and it will change the way hybrid cars are viewed.

Moreover, the car comes with an excellent brake control system which increases the road grip of the car along with its control as well. This was not present in the older models of the car whereas the inclusion of the efficient braking system has reduced the vibrations and pinching noises of the engine.

The brand new features of this car are eye caching. These features really make this car different from others. The 2010 model has a special feature named MyKey. This is really a special feature because it allows a person to limit the top speed of the car along with limiting the audio volume of the car as well.

There is also a rear view camera system included and there is what Ford calls the ‘Active Park Assist’, which is optional, and helps when doing parallel parking. The new electric a/c unit works without the gasoline engine having to be turned on. There is also A/C power outlet the puts out 110 volts and this is standard.

16 inch alloy wheels come standard but you can also get it with 17 inch wheels. There are also integrated running boards and a roof rack. The upholstery is cloth made and is recyclable. It also helps in keeping the vehicle’s cabin quiet.

All these features along with many others make this car very special.
